Amazing tour at Angkor Wat We booked a trip with Sophorn based on a friend’s recommendation, and he certainly did not disappoint. From the moment he picked us up from the airport, he made us feel welcome and shared so much interesting information about Cambodia’s history and culture. We had such an enjoyable and memorable day visiting Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples with Sophorn. He is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about Cambodia’s history and culture. He explained the history, architecture and symbolism behind each temple in excellent English and always took the time to answer our questions in detail. He is also incredibly patient and calm, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Sophorn also takes the most incredible photos and always knew the best spots to capture some amazing pictures and memories of our day. We would highly recommend Sophorn to anyone visiting Siem Reap. Exceptional Tour Guide for Angkor Wat and Beyond We had an outstanding experience with Sophorn Chhouk as our tour guide. He guided us through four incredible temples, including Angkor Wat, and made the entire experience both fascinating and enjoyable. Sophorn is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Cambodia’s history and culture. His enthusiasm made the ancient temples come alive, and we learned far more than we ever expected. Amazing unforgettable sunrise tour!! Highly recommend Sophorn. We had an absolutely amazing experience on the small circuit temple tour with Siphon, honestly one of the highlights. Early pickup to catch the sunrise, and it was completely worth it, he made sure we got the best spot and watching the sun come up over Angkor Wat was unforgettable. Siphon was fantastic as a storyteller, a guide, and honestly just a genuinely lovely person to spend time with. His knowledge of the temples and history really brought everything to life. We asked loads of questions throughout the tour, and he answered every single one with patience and kindness, he has been doing this for many years. He’s also amazing at photography! He knew all the best spots and angles and helped us get some beautiful photos we’d never have managed on our own. It made all the difference and is something we’ll always be grateful for! One thing was that he stayed with us the entire time, even guiding us all the way up to the top of Angkor Wat, while many other guides waited at the bottom. It really showed how much he cares about giving you the best possible experience. Beyond the temples, he also shared much about Cambodia its culture, people, and his family which made the tour feel much more authentic. It is a tight schedule, you can do it again at a slower pace to take everything in even more but he put an effort in to beat the crowds and we almost had Ta Prohm entirely by ourselves. We would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Angkor Wat. Sophorn works with a small collective of independent local guides so if he is not available, he will reach out to his friends. The very best guide, tour operator and transport you can get We have just had an amazing few days with Sophorn. From organising our transport around Cambodia, to taking us on two of his Angkor Wat tours, everything was incredible. He has multiple options for transport and the information he shared with us on both the sunset and sunrise tours was first class. He also takes excellent photos. Sunrise to Sunset, a magical day! Sophorn was a fantastic guide! He knew exactly where we should stand to see the sunrise, and when to move to different areas to stay ahead of the crowd. We never felt rushed, and yet we were able to see the temples, take unobstructed photos, and learn so much, while staying ahead of the tourist rush. His van kept us cool , and he made sure our comfort and needs were always taken care of. We so enjoyed getting to know him, and really enjoyed his company. Later that day we also saw the Hero rats, a lotus farm, and ended our day with a breathtaking sunset from one of his favorite places, overlooking the rice paddies.
